My kids fighting with each other all the time

Image
Question: What can I do about my kids fighting with each other all the time? Answer: If your children have bedrooms opposite each other, it's that opposition that can foster, well, their opposition. Try hanging a faceted crystal between the two rooms to press down the negativity and assert your motherly influence. If they share a room, adding a crystal between their two beds can also help. Kids need their own space. If they share a room, try creating their own space by hanging curtains or placing dividers that will make them feel like they have their own mini-room in the room they share. Additionally, place a picture of the happy family together in each child's room or the room they share. This will reinforce your happy family and help to see they are part of the larger whole of the family and it's not just their way or the sibling's way. Lastly, inform them that while they don't have to like each other, they do need to be courteous to one another and pleasa...

How to Use Feng Shui to Design a Successful, Income-boosting Business Card

Image
Purists will say you can't feng shui your car, your clothes or your looks, but that's not exactly true. While feng shui is the study of the environment and its effects on the occupants of a building, it can also be used as a method for designing, too. One of the areas where feng shui can be the most effective is the business card. A well designed business card is a mini-billboard. It can advertise for you, be carried and referred to, and it also makes an impression. If someone likes your card, they'll hold onto it longer. If it's unpleasant or cheap-looking, it will often head to the trash. Today more than ever, people need every edge to get ahead. One of the first steps is to give your business cards a good look. They could look dated, tired, or maybe they don't have the correct information or there's a typo. There could also be images or colors that are in conflict. If so, this might be a good time to give your cards a redesign. Use these 7 tip...

Doesn't believe in feng shui

Image
Question: A single friend of mine doesn't believe in feng shui but has miserable luck in her life. Her birthday is coming up. Is there something I can give her for her birthday to help her attract better luck in her life? Answer: Aren't you a great friend?! She's lucky to have you that's for sure. Sometimes we want good fortune for others more than we do for ourselves. That's especially true of our children. Some people are closed off and not open and receptive to good fortune. I've learned that when we constantly expect the worst life gives it to us. Never ask "what else can happen," because something else certainly will! :) Back to your question.... I'd buy something for your friend that you like because, as my mother used to tell me, if you like it, your friend will probably like it too. Buy her something pretty with auspicious symbols. I especially likebutterflies because they represent a rebirth and they're also a wonderful symbo...

Energizing Your Home with Potent Wealth Symbols

Image
Our homes, like our dreams, speak in symbols. The art, the symbols, shapes, and colors we surround ourselves with at home tells a story of our lives. Mine speaks to a love of travel and does so in the artwork that I've collected from around the world. It's important that we place objects and items in our house that inspire and motivate us. We need items that make us feel good and help us move forward in life and lift up our energy. Clutter has way of pressing down our energy. When we fill our homes with excess stuff we have to ask ourselves what is it we are avoiding. Open space can be intimidating and clutter fills space. Keeping excess stuff, especially collections, puts distance between us and our feelings or keeps us from intimate relationships because things can quickly and rapidly take the place of people - and even keep us from ourselves. In the process of removing the excess stuff in your life, you don't just find space, you'll find yourself. It's ...

How to Use Feng Shui to Find the Right Career for You

The news headlines are dismal and the jobs outlook is anything but promising for the future. The economic trends say that we're in for lots more of the same: high unemployment, continuing recession and people struggling to make ends meet. So, what if you're looking for a job and having no luck? Feng Shui might be able to change that. One of the keys to finding success in a career is lining up your interests and particular strengths with your career. Why? Doing so means that the chances are you'll do your job better, be better at it, and enjoy it more - all predictors of career longevity. However, many choose jobs that are simply available rather than what truly suits them and their unique nature. With an entrenched economic crisis that shows no sign of letting up, it makes sense to look for jobs that are an energetic match for your temperament and abilities. By doing so, you'll be compounding energies - and that could just land you a job! In feng shui, any e...

The peach flower is also believed to be able to entrance men. Its petals were thought to possess the ability to cast a romantic spell on them and as such is seen as a romantic symbol by the Chinese. But peaches are also symbols of long life. The lore of the peach is that a Goddess invited eight people to her garden where a peach tree had borne fruit after 3,000 years. After eating the peaches, each of the Gods became immortal. Thus, peaches became synonymous with long life and longevity in Chinese culture. The peach is also a common symbol of spring time and represents marriage. Peaches in the bedroom are thought to inspire marriage proposals and be a wonderful feng shui enhancer for singles. But there is a danger with peach.... Peach is the color of infidelity. The use of peach colors is not wi...

Protecting Yourself Against the Negative Intentions of Others

If you've ever been around a negative person, someone who compliments you in a hollow way or who admires what you have with an envious stare, you know what it feels like when a person's intentions aren't positive. Sometimes you may find that after you've left someone you feel physically bad, have a foreboding feeling, or somehow feel weakened by their presence. This person may harbor ill thoughts against you. Many cultures and countries recognize this energy as the "Evil Eye." From Tibet to Greece, from Turkey to Brazil, the concept of the evil eye is the belief that someone's envious gaze and thoughts can create negative consequences such as injury, illness, unhappiness, or loss. In its worst form, the jealous glances cause a withering effect of the psyche and physical form. In Aegean countries it was believed that those with green eyes could cast curses. In the Jewish custom speaking about good fortune could also draw negativity to you. In Lat...
