Change Your Money Luck with the Feng Shui Three Legged Toad

Image
Few symbols embody feng shui the way the three legged toad does. And whether you call this little amphibian a wealth frog, money toad, lucky money frog, or three legged prosperity toad doesn't matter. What matters is that you display this delightful creature wherever you want wealth to find you. The money frog legend Like many symbols in Chinese lore, the money frog came from a legend. The legend is about a frog named Chan Chu. The story begins that a wife of one of the eight immortals stole the elixir of immortality and fled to the moon. When she drank the elixir, it turned her into an ugly toad. Compassionate gods allowed her to keep the tail of a tadpole, or third leg, versus two legs of a fully developed toad. The toad, Chan Chu, liked money, too, and was tempted into a well with gold coins. One reason wealth frogs are said to be associated with money is that they can always be found where there is water. And because water means wealth, the relationship of wealth and wate

Feng Shui your Bedroom for Romance

Image
No matter whether it's the year of the dragon, the horse, or the sheep, the philosophical principles of feng shui can add harmony to your interior design -- and even inject a new spirit of romance. Feng shui is the Chinese art of determining the most propitious design of a room or building (and the placement of objects within) so that maximum harmony is achieved between the environment and the user. The term comes from the Chinese words "feng" (wind) and "shui" (water). A driving principle of feng shui is that there are eight pillars of happiness, including love and romance. There is a discrepancy between feng shui fact and fiction, however. Not everything considered feng shui is suited for the bedroom, nor will it necessarily inspire romance. Match-up debate Designers are split over the matching nightstand issue. Some say bedside tables should be different and not look uniform. Others say matched nightstands create balance in the room. How Feng Shui Ties Romance and Wealth Together

Image
When Napoleon Hill wrote "Think and Grow Rich" he concluded that a very important aspect in the process of gaining wealth was tied to sex. He said that "The emotion of sex contains the secret of creative ability." This "seat of power" and the ability to create is uniquely tied to feng shui. What's especially interesting about sex and money in feng shui is that the wealth sector is also associated with the number four. Four is the number associated with romance and sex, academic achievement, sales, and writing. So, you could say that the number four is associated with creation and generation, too. The problem with sex is that as you age, sexual activity lessens and not just because of lack of interest, although that certainly does happen, but because fatigue, work, stress, child-rearing and household duties get in the way. Feng shui teaches that energy flows where energy goes. A German study confirms this. In a study of 32,000 couples, many who

Dragon: What's Your Luck in 2012?

Image
The Dragon is a mighty mythical creature that symbolizes yang energy. Full of strength and as a symbol of emperors, the dragon is welcome anywhere he or she goes. Sometimes you act on your instincts so quickly and powerfully, you intimidate others. But once you learn to temper that strength, your creative side emerges and you're a force to be reckoned with. You are a loyal, devoted and true friend with a magnetism and charisma others only dream about. Wealth Don't like doing your taxes and hate filing receipts? Welcome to the club. This year, it's easy to disregard those details more than ever. You'll be tempted. But don't. If you just hate it that much, hire a bookkeeper or someone who actually enjoys doing that. It will free you up to make even more money and never have to worry about those pesky bills. It's time to get serious about retirement planning. You've said you were going to do it for years. Well, this is the year to do it. Career You would

The Feng Shui Qualities and Protective Power of Red

Image
From antiquity to today, few colors have the power and influence that the color red has. It's the most likely to make the wearer and the observer do something, such as stop at a stop sign, eat at a restaurant or feel favorably about a company, such as Target and its red bullseye logo. Wearing red imbues the wearer with confidence and power. In China, the color red has many meanings, but the first is happiness. The bride in a wedding ceremony has always traditionally worn a red veil that was only lifted once the bride and groom were at the ceremony, never seeing each other until the wedding. That tradition continues today even though modern brides now know their intended before the ceremony. In Chinese tradition, a red-faced man is regarded as a holy person and a god wearing a red robe is the god of wealth. Red colored gems have also been regarded to hold powers of invincibility, strength and success. Rubies and garnets have long been believed to protect against the evil eye.
